That's what you get. The world is a better place. What do the sorry-feelers think? He was going to get wounded in the leg and think, "wow, that was close, I'm going to go to school and become a contributing member of society." Um, no, he was going to think, "How can I get back at that cop, and who can I rob now that I'm a bad-ass because I got shot and lived through it." The only bad thing about this is the fact that no asshole like that thinks it will ever be them.

From the look of that, he was shot in the mediastinum - the area of the thorax - chest - that holds the trachea, part of the esophogus, the heart, and the great vessels. One of those vessels - seemingly the aorta was hit, but obviously parts of the lung or trachea was also hit, allowing blood to flow from the blood vessels into the airway. If you notice, at first, he isn't bleeding too much, then it "turns on". That is because his airways are filling (rapidly in this case) and his reaction is coughing to clear the airway in the body's attempt to move air / breathe. I would guess that it was a large caliber bullet at very close range - the ballistics and the cavitation from it are extreme and wide spread. Bad news in the emergency medicine world. The only way that guy might have lived is if that was on the steps of the emergency room and a surgeon was scrubbed up and ready. The aorta can bleed out an adult in a little under 4 minutes, depending on position, damage, underlying medical issues, and luck.

Trying to rob a pregnant woman with a gun...? Justice served.  Though he was human vermin in his life, contributing nothing to society and only taking... in death he provided everyone on earth with a badass video clip of someone drowning on their own blood. At least his death wasn't in vain.  |

Agreed. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with some of the people on here. It was an 'attempted' robbery - that.....is......ALL!!! In the grand scheme of things, big fucking deal! You'd think he raped a baby girl the way people are cheering about this. We have no idea if his (attempted) robbery was a non-violent one (ie no guns involved, just slipping something into his back pocket like a shoplifter, or what. We don't know his personal circumstances. Jesus FUCKING *CHRIST*!! To say some shoplifter deserves to die like that, is more evil than the act he attempted to do. Save that sort of death for a pedophile or rapist or serial killer or child murderer. Not for some petty theft/shoplifting thing. Talk about OVERKILL. Get some perspective, guys! Fucken hell!   |

Um, why can't we EDIT our posts? Or even delete them? This is fucking stupid. I went back and re-read and see that he did pull a gun. Still, I stand by what I said about it not deserving that type of death. Unfortunately, guns in trigger happy blood-thirsty (pardon the pun) cops hands is a recipe for disaster. You aim to STOP THE *THREAT*, not to kill. And when you shoot, you call an ambulance. I'd love to know what sort of fucked up backwater country this happened in! |
