Re: Young Robber Dies Gurgling & Spitting Blood Over His Face After Cop Shot Him
Having been the victim of a robbery at gunpoint I can tell you that not only is it scary at the time, but the fear stays with you for a long time. I think most of the people commenting in favor of the kid are not reading the part where he pulled a gun on a pregnant woman. How far would you men go to protect your pregnant wife or daughter from a gun wielding maniac? How far would you women go to protect your child from an armed robber? And those people saying "just injure him" are failing to realize that if you fail to kill someone with a gun, they will shoot and kill you. You HAVE to shoot to kill when faced to face with a robber armed with a gun. And as an ex-American now living in Canada, I can tell you that Canada still has firearms, but they are ONLY in the hands of criminals. Canada still has just as many murders as the states, but most are stabbings instead of shootings. Everyone here in Canada carries a knife and I hear almost daily of someone being stabbed, usually to death. As for the people saying that the crime rate is in proportion to the availability of firearms, I ask you to look at Switzerland where EVERY house has a firearm, yet they have one of the lowest firearm death rates in the world. Firearm deaths are directly proportional to poverty rates, and have absolutely NOTHING to do with gun laws...

Re: Young Robber Dies Gurgling & Spitting Blood Over His Face After Cop Shot Him
I would also like to add that the people saying that the cop could have just injured the kid by shooting him in the leg, probably have no experience with shooting a gun. I have been in a shootout with someone trying to rob me at gunpoint. Between the two of us we fired around 24 bullets (17 from him and 7 from me) in a matter of 3 seconds give or take. Neither my attacker nor I recieved any injuries. I am a VERY good shot but pistols are not as accurate as you think, shooting while under duress and filled with adrenaline is very hard, and hitting a moving target is EXTREMELY difficult. shooting for a target as thin as a leg or arm, on a moving target, under pressure, is nearly impossible...
