Re: Young Man Lynched After Killing 14 Year Old Girlfriend
I guess the court was too far away or these people are just disgusting savages who need to be avoided at all cost. You see I do not associate a place were the people act like they did 1000 years ago. However, this did not happen in Rome were my family hails from. We gave people the fanciest show trial that would make Joesph Stalin shed a tear and then we nailed them to a cross for a public Crucifixion. If the person is guilty, the Romans wanted people to know that person is bad with the 3 days of suffering before they died a horrible death. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Young Man Lynched After Killing 14 Year Old Girlfriend
At the risk of turning this into a pro/anti death-penalty debate, I'll chime in by saying that I used to be staunchly pro death penalty. Then, indirectly, something was brought to my attention that sorta made me change my mind. Sorta. See, these scum that end up on death row and get executed in the US are usually locked up for 20, 30 years or so before their presence is removed from the list of the living. But those that end up with the other sentence, life without parole, can end up sitting in a nice 8x10 for 50 or more years. Usually, after about 20 or so, they realize that their buddies that got executed are free, and they've still got decades before they die and are, thus, released. And they realize they've been had. And this makes me smile. |
