We have dozens of people on this forum flexing their fucking collective Ids and howling for blood. CONDONING this sort of conduct. Trying to normalize it and sanction it and justify it using ridiculous rationale as callous as SAVING THE TAXPAYER EXPENSE. When enough 'civilized' people start thinking this sort of shit is rational and justifiable and 'just' then we have a big fucking problem.

Jesus Fucking Christ, I've been one of the strongest and most prolific contributors of gore/death content to this site for almost 10 years now. I find the interest in viewing and documenting these proceedings as much as anyone else, More, most likely, given how many thousands of hours I have invested in finding content for this place. I'm plenty jaded about humanity.

But the fucking baboons who howl and beat their chests and proclaim to support this sort of behavior from the safety of your computer screens are every bit as toxic as anyone featured in a thread here.

Anyway, thanks for the vids and updates, Dahlia. But I hate seeing this sort of shit. I come here expecting to see unhinged killers act like killers. And hinged people become unhinged and turn into killers in small numbers. But watching the carriage of 'mob justice' wherein otherwise normal, ostensibly non-criminal human beings turn en masse into frothing apes and savage, murdering shitbags? Do we hope to breed out these traits from humanity? or are we hoping that somehow cultures and behaviour will change for the better by imprisoning people for crimes? Many deemed ‘civilized’ societies today had what is known today as barbaric corporal punishment regimes. Drawn and quartering, slow hanging, thousand cuts, boiling in hot oil, etc. In Japan, convicted criminals were used to test samurai swords for its cutting ability. In general, these societies have become much more ‘civilized’ with their ‘barbaric’ history, espescially when this is coupled with economic progress.

I dont think society will evolve if we coddle criminals. I think society will evolve if every crime is made a harsh lesson. The people made example of in a way - contributes to the future of the society. Of course, this is only truly morally right in cases of irrefutable evidence of their role in the crime.

I always imagined these young victims as my own, my children. I know if someone did this to them, I have no problem being part of a lynching mob if the perp have their blood on their hands. I have no problem being part of the audience of a state execution. I have no problem being the executor, even. If my children were sacrificed, let it not be in vain.

While I, on the other hand, always imagine it is my younger brother, my sister, my best friend, or myself...falsely accused and torn apart by a savage, unhinged mob without the benefit of a trial or a legal defense or, in many of these cases, even a proper investigation.

Yes, I believe the kid in this case was most likely guilty, given the circumstances.

But we'll never truly know now, will we? And allowing it to happen EVER only makes it easier for it to happen another time in the future and again and again and even if this one was not innocent, the next one may be.

Any justice system has plenty of major problems and is far from infallible. But even a half-assed justice system is better than this savagery.

Every person involved in perpetrating this lynching should be charged with second degree murder at the barest minimum, as well as multiple counts of deadly assault against the law enforcement officers who got between them and the target of their unchecked bloodlust.

Brazil has made economic progress in recent years which will hopefully bring it in line with other nations.

Societies have evolved from the barbarism you speak of by creating a more civilised way of dealing with crime. Setting an example to others using such cruelty is never a deterrent.

I am very grateful that I don’t live in a country where capital punishment is carried out. Many would advocate it being reintroduced but as a civilised nation there is no place for state sanctioned murder. That’s the mob mentality right there. As a species that is rightfully moving away from the days of hanging drawing and quartering, burning at the stake etc, it’s the right direction to move in. Go the other way, and we’re a heartbeat away from scenes like this video.
