Young Lady Dies After Being Stuck in the Head with a Steel Beam
On the afternoon of 16th August 2018 in Tucuruí, 18 year old V.S.D.J. was involved in a serious accident. She was riding on a motorbike + coming in the opposite direction were 2 men on a motorbike, they were carrying a steel beam. When they passed next to each other, 'V' was struck in the head with the beam, she wasn't wearing a helmet. The emergency services were quick on the scene. 'V' was given medical assistance then taken to the hospital for surgery. Family + friends of 'V' posted on social media asking for blood donations as she was desperately in need. But, 'V' succumbed to her injuries 3 days later.

Not really a steel beam as much as some sort of rebar jig. Maybe worse since the narrow rebar penetrated her head instead of bouncing off. If it had been a beam she may have gotten by with a concussion... or maybe it was just her time. One thing for sure, she'd still be alive if her driver hadn't taken the turn so wide... A comedy of errors and the innocent girl pays, sad. |
