Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic A 23-year-old man, Amaury S., was shot dead by unknown assailants, who approached him on a motorcycle and, without saying a word, fired multiple shots. Amaury had recently been released from prison, where he had been incarcerated on drug-related charges. |

Yeah. In countries like this, there seems to be a different rewards/risk benefit to being released, looks like. Though they'd've likely found a way to him in there too, where death might've been more... personal and prolonged, shall we say.

It sounded like he was saying "Fuck these guys" before he got blasted, but being in DR the probability of Spanish seems more plausible  |

The DR is very much like Cuba. The government knows everything and controls everything. Sad, but the DR has video cameras mounted everywhere. If those killers are not in jail in less than 24 hours, the local police had a motive in the killing.  Do not go to that country; I have seen people die for the most stupid reasons.
