Nobody "deserves" anything. The whole idea of being deserving is that you're able to freely choose to do something. Unfortunatley that's not what neuroscience tells us is possible.
Instead what we see is that we're all constantly being influenced by the world we live in. Cause and effect. You may feel like you're choosing something but that's the illusion. You're really just doing what you want based on those influences impacting your behaviour.
You don't control your subconscious, yet it's taking in all kinds of information and doing all kinds of things to keep you going. It ultimately filters what you will and won't think of, how you'll react to stimuli, how you feel, what you believe, and eventually how you'll behave.
That's why it's retarded to say someone "deserves" something. It'd be more accurate to say "they made me angry so I feel good that they're suffering". But supporting that way of thinking only leads to a world full of the things you're claiming to hate on in the first place...ironically.
Well said and I agree 100%
