On the afternoon of this Friday (18), a serious work accident resulted in the death of 39-year-old Hugo B.d.S.C.B., in a landfill near the AM-010 highway in Manaus, Amazonas state, Brazil.

Hugo was unloading garbage from a truck, and he had activated the locking mechanism to lift the truck bed. However, for unclear reasons, the truck bed descended with great force, crushing Hugo's head and killing him at the scene.

Investigations are expected to be carried out to determine whether the incident was due to equipment failure or negligence.

I can just imagine someone might have seen the truck bed coming down and tried to warn him by yelling out "Hugo B.d.S.C.B. look out!" but he was crushed before they finished his surname.
