I saw a man in Ilinois who did survive something very much like this when he was a kid. He got pulled into and rotated around a PTO on a tractor. They are Amish so getting help was not a minor undertaking, and then they had to make some changes in order to try and pay the medical bills.
When his father found him, he just assumed he was dead. Until he heard "Papa, help me."
It's an extraordinary tale of survival. He broke so many bones, lost so much blood.
These days the guy looks a bit weird and is missing part of an arm but he does farm work. I didn't talk to him but i saw him sitting on a tractor.
