Dude was in shock  Was wondering all through the video when one (or both) of his arms would fall off since they were hanging by a thread  Reminded me of Sometimes a Great Notion (1971) where a tree falls on Henry Fonda nearly severing his arm under his flannel shirt (we never see the injury under the shirt). As his son rushes him to the hospital in the truck, he scolds, "Be careful with those bumps! My arm's hanging by a thread!" Just as they arrive at the ER, Fonda goes, "Ahhh! There goes my arm! It just fell off!"  |

In the USA metal stamping presses are required to have safety shut off devices such as "light curtains" that stop the machine if an operators hand or arm enters the press. if someone needs to stick their hand in the press they put in a safety stop, I've seen a short length of large steel I-beam used. The joke used to be the metal press workers would hold their beers with their thumb and pinky, the other fingers cut off in press accidents. Just my .02 |
