Worker Dies After Tyre Bursts During Calibration
A man identified as Natanael R.d.O.B., 29, died after a tyre exploded on Monday afternoon (26) in Martinho Campos, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. According to the Military Police (PM), the accident occurred at a tyre repair shop in the São Jorge district, while the victim was inflating the tyre of a truck. At some point, the tyre burst and the victim was thrown against a pole, killing him at the scene. |

I won’t go near those fucking things. Seen way too many of these videos and know better. I generally avoid semi tires as well just to be safe. |

How does this even happen? Is it a faulty gauge and they're over-inflating the tyre or is it a fault with the wheel?

Shitty old split style rims. If the lock ring isn't seated correctly with the retainer in place *THE CORRECT WAY* it will explode and the outer ring will take your face off at a high rate of speed.
