Work Accident, Head Crushed by Hydraulic Press
This man's head gets stuck inside a hydraulic press, by the time a coworker reaches him and hits the safety release switch, it's to late. Looks like he lasted a few seconds after hitting the ground.

Re: Work Accident, Head Crushed by Hydraulic Press
Well that sucks. It didn't look like he had his hands on anything which would have activated the machine, so I don't think it was his fault. Maybe he did and I just couldn't see it. Looks like the machine could tell something was jammed up because the light came on briefly and the press reversed, allowing him to fall out. I've seen some pieces of equipment like this which require two-handed activation or the controls are far enough away so things such as this cannot happen. |

Re: Work Accident, Head Crushed by Hydraulic Press
I worked at a plastic manufacturing plant for years, the entire place was full of machines twice as big as this..with the capacity to kill you in an instant if you're an idiot. I saw machines break down and people not log out/tag (turn off the fucking machine before you try to fix a problem) out all the time, Darwinism..... |

Safety switch bypassed or malfunctioning. Press shouldn't move with the door open
