In Manaus at around 2am this morning (2nd July 2018) 49 year old Lucineri de Silva Menta died. Lucineri was travelling on a motorbike with a friend, to go to a shop. A car, which was speeding, collided with the motorobike. One of Lucineri's legs was ripped off + landed on the roof of a house. Witnesses rushed to her aide, but she lost so much blood that she died within minutes. The driver of the car did not stop to help. The friend who was driving the motorbike was taken to the hospital with non-serious injuries. The crash was caught on CCTV. |

Re: Woman's Leg on the Roof!
story is a bit different. Her friend was riding and she was the passenger. They were going to buy cigarettes at a convenience store at 0:30 AM when a silver car, which was traveling at high speed, passed them by. The car hit the left leg of the 49 year old woman. With the impact, the limb ended up on the roof of a house. The unidentified driver fled. The motorcyclist and the passenger were lying on the ground. According to the family, the victim waited another 40 minutes for the rescue. Her son went to the emergency room asking for help, but was informed that there was no ambulance to go to the scene of the accident to make the rescue at that time. The woman lost a lot of blood and family members had to improvise a stretcher with a piece of wood to take the victim to a Medical unit/Hospital on foot. She died in the unit at dawn. |

Re: Woman's Leg on the Roof!
I hate it when different sources give different versions of events! Thanks for finding this. Poor woman, how horrific. Edit: I've just found her name + then a few news articles so I'll update the original post in a few minutes. |
