In Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, a 67-year-old woman was fatally run over by the driver of a Ural truck whilst waiting for a green light to cross the road.

According to the truck driver, he lost control because a bus has pulled out in front of him and it was not possible to immediately brake, so he turned off the road without noticing the woman. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.

This is the kind of death that really really sucks. Just standing around, minding your own business, not doing anything to anybody, and some asshole makes a poor decision and the next thing you know you’ve got four tons of truck parked on your ass.
