dunno where pits actually originated from (read too lazy to research it) but they're not bad as dogs, just bad as pets. reference bears and big cats post above. just because an animal can kill me I don't think they should be eliminated. but I'm not dumb enough to have a pet that can 'easily and happily' kill me either.

pitbull lovers just can't see the big picture here. If you TRULY LOVE the breed you will want to see its bloodline gone for good. The FACT is there will always be BAD PEOPLE out there who will abuse and torture these dogs into dangerous monsters because of its power and reputation. Just as there are many responsible owners out there who turn them into kind loyal pets. As long as the breed exists, the needless suffering of both man and animal will continue. And yes the pitbull breed is the real victim here, in the US thousands are beaten, tortured, and killed every year as a result of human corruption.

So please for the sake of PEACE that these dogs so strongly deserve, we must stop breeding them because as long as humans exist, the pitbull breed will suffer at our hands.
