An elderly woman and her daughter died after a fire broke out in an apartment on Bannergatta road in Bengaluru's Devarchikkanahalli on Tuesday September 21, 2021.

The 2 deceased women have been identified as LD(82) and daughter BR(59).

The fire that is believed to have started due to a gas cylinder explosion, originated on the 3rd floor and spread up to the 4th floor of the 5 story building.

A video of one of the women, who died in the fire, went viral on social media, in which she can be seen trying to dodge the flames on her balcony....

Yep bars on your windows great idea.
Some cities are so unsafe that bars on your windows/doors are pretty much unavoidable, unless you want to be a victim of crime/home invasions/rape/murder etc.

In the case of these poor women, they got screwed anyway.
