Even it were mechanically possible to open the doors, the weight of the water might have been too great for her to push against, even if the interior is flooded. As far as breaking car windows, it's very difficult unless you have something small, heavy, and sharp to puncture the glass with. Dude.. What "pumps" is the post talking about. I could have saved that poor girl. Also.. If this happens to you.. Take off a seat head rest and use the metal to break the window if you don't have a better tool

She should have had time to make it to the back of the vehicle and open the trunk/back door before the rear ended started to go under. The water wasn't up that far in the back so pressure wouldn't be an issue.
