I think her first instinct would be to keep the doors closed, keep the water out, maybe its not that deep, by the time she realises, she is in big trouble, but how ever you look at it, she had more time than most people in this situation..

I've always been advised to strike the corners of the window. In videos I've seen, it works like a charm!

However, your way seems a lot more productive. Make sure to do that at a corner though! I was told that those are the weakest points. Great video!
