If the victims die, all that female driver needed to do was to pay a one-time compensation to the victims' families. But if they were to survive, she would have to take monetary care of them for the rest of their lives. It sounds implausible but it's just how these things work in China. There was another similar case where a male driver stabbed a female cyclist to death after he knocked her down, she was unconscious but only slightly hurt. He later admitted to doing so because he was afraid of the financial commitments he would have to provide her for the rest of her life. If it's any consolation, he got the death sentence... now in appeal stage. FYI, he was a 21 yr-old budding classical pianist right out of college. |

asians specially china and philippines have that driver's common practice, "you bump em, you gotta back up to them. Easier to pay death and burial in one sum than sustain medical and liabilities that may take years of monthly payment". its true. when a bus driver swiped a person, he backs up and run em over.... u.s. people knew that. they do the same. if one get maimed on the farm road, they'll sue you for the rooster, the eggs it may get on how many hen it is making it and his chicklets future offspring. unlimited vision i tell you |
