A woman was the victim of murder on Sunday afternoon inside a supermarket in the North Zone of São Paulo. The man, who was allegedly the victim's partner, attacked her with a knife. The woman was rescued and taken for medical treatment, but, according to police sources, she did not survive her injuries.

The man has been arrested. Shortly before he was arrested, he was seen lying down on the pavement, with injuries to his feet.

The bystanders jumped to stop it faster than I remember seeing on DR. Pink shirt guy reacted with what he had in his hand, a shopping basket in about 1 second which was a fast attack but insufficient mass. Maybe if he had a glass bottle in hand or something heavy in his basket. The speed they reacted might indicate such knife attacks are a continual problem and they are experienced at intervening. I am surprised they would risk death or injury to save the woman the way the perp is swinging that machete, if he breaks off his attack on the woman he could kill the basket brigade.

not only Angelita, 40, was stabbed to death by 40 year old Lafayette but he also stabbed her dog to death at home. She wanted to end the relationship due to a history of frequent arguments and continuous domestic fights.
