Woman With Severe Facial Injuries After Being Run Over on Highway
BR-316, Piauí, Brazil A 40-year-old woman, Francisca M.d.S.D., died after being run over by a truck while trying to cross BR-316, in the stretch between the municipalities of Demerval Lobão and Teresina. The truck driver fled the scene, but later called police, making himself available for a statement. He claimed he fled as he feared repercussions from local residents. According to a family member, Francisca was trying to cross the highway. The driver honked his horn, but Francisca pressed on, believing she had time to cross. |
