Simone, I prefer to think of our collective ancestral countries as our homes. Surely you do not let uninvited strangers invade your home, do you? I would very much like it if my daughter were to be in a mixed-race relationship when she's older. Why on earth wouldn't I be fine with that?

My son is mixed-race (Chinese, Vietnamese + white European) - what would your issue with this be?

Edit: Though added to that, I have told my son that he should 'stick to his own kind', but that's because I love East Asians! Also that my daughter should have an East Asian or black partner. Though ultimately, it's up to them, nothing to do with me.
