A woman identified as I.A. died early this Wednesday (14) after suffering a serious traffic accident in the Centre-South zone of Manaus.

According to preliminary information, I. was returning from a party on the back of a motorcycle driven by her boyfriend. The partner, whose name was not released, lost control of his vehicle, went into the opposite lane and collided with a Ford Fiesta.

Due to the collision, I. was thrown over the car and, in the fall, hit her head on the sidewalk. She was without a helmet, couldn't resist her injuries, and died at the scene.

Her boyfriend was also injured, but was rescued and taken to a hospital. I.'s body was removed to the IML and will undergo necropsy.
