Re: Woman Jumps Off Apartment Block Missing Yellow Cushion

At that height—cushion or no cushion—terminal velocity would've killed her anyway, irrespective of the cushion size or height—unless they had one of those specialized stunt-cushions that can deflate gradually for several stories (more like 7-8—at least).

But that shitty mustard-colored cushion?

Ridiculous.

R.I.P.
Terminal Velocity would not have killed her. The sudden impact would be more the culprit than the fall rate.

I've never seen one of those suicide prevention cushions actually intercept the jumper
Works the same way CPR done by cops after they mag-dump a suspect who's already a corpse.

Right!.. took the words out of my mouth, and the wind out of her cushion.

All levity aside... that's what I meant also—but left it implied; I do thank you for clarifying and clearly articulating the final stage in the fall.

I must point out that, due specifically to terminal velocity, she could not brace for impact—and that is, ultimately, why the deceased expired.

Had she 'Braced for Impact,' surely I say unto you, her spirit would not have given up the Ghost.

Amen.

On a serious note, you are correct; I misspoke, and should not have been so negligent as to lead those who are not so well-versed in physics, to think that 'terminal velocity' by alone would've caused her death.

I appreciate your having pointed out the error.

Many regards.

Overkill. She should have seen the acrobat on page 1 and only climbed a few flights of stairs.

You didn’t misspeak at all. I was teasing you over semantics. I knew what your meaning was when I read it. I was just able to make a little fun with you over a written perspective. No harm intended nor was I trying to correct you. Just creating some fun.
