Re: Woman Hit By Train While Crossing Tracks
I live 2 houses from railroad tracks bisect my city. It’s a popular shortcut for kids to get to the high school. Within months after I moved here, a train was stopped and a single yellow tennis shoe was laying between the tracks. Kids had gotten hit by trains before, and the railway companies made it a $1000 misdemeanor. This particular kid had his earbuds so loud he couldn’t hear anything. Even a train in another track lew his horn & the did didn’t even flinch. What saved his life was the first engineer radioed the train on the track the kid was on, and managed to drastically slow his speed. The kid spent 3 months in a coma, and 6 months of rehab before he could go back to school.
