That's a myth that's quite often proven false by actual statistics. In fact the variation in suicides by day of the week (most commonly Monday) is greater than any seasonal variations.

It's also worth noting that suicides tend to increase with warmer seasons, dispelling the common misconception (for most of the world) that more suicides occur around Christmas.

In Turkey? Unless she was in the tiny minority of Christians, this is not the holiday season for her. And even if she is, the Oriental Orthodox celebrate Christmas in January. |
