She said she belonged to a cartel gang. If this really was fake, she and basically the entire filming crew just made themselves a target for making fun of a violent gang. This seems more like a case of executioner incompetence, they brought a street shank to a meat cutting job and botched it entirely.

Cutting skin and flesh requires a very sharp knife and getting through the spine requires some meat cutting skills, unless youre going to hack the bone away with an axe or a machete. I recall some beheading videos where it takes like few seconds and few quick and long slices, indicating the executioner have clearly been butchering hunted animals for the crew before.

But if you watch closely you can see the knife is blunt and isn't slicing or doing anything for the majority of the video until he practically stabs her in the throat and hammers it in deeper with his other hand then thrusts from side to side, which is when she stops screaming clearly. After this she quickly stops moving which is strange to me because she definitely wouldn't be dead yet right?

The knife he used looks to be a little used fillet knife. Typically very sharp even when new. Yet when you watch him drag the blade edge wise across her throat it leaves no mark. It is dull as hell.

I'm not going to comment on authenticity, but there is very little blood. Can you imagine getting your gear ready to behead someone and grabbing the dullest fucking knife in the drawer. Only in South America.
