Shocking Footage Captures 'Edinburgh Hit And Run' As Victim Believed To Be Fighting For Life A woman is believed to be fighting for her life after an alleged 'hit and run' in Edinburgh yesterday evening. Shocking footage, which is too graphic to share, has reportedly emerged of the moment a small silver car hit a woman on Muirhouse Parkway on Sunday, April 14. The car appears to drive towards the pedestrian as she walks with another woman. The woman is thrown off her feet and onto the bonnet before being dragged onto a pathway. The casualty then falls off onto the ground as the car drives away. Another woman can be seen rushing to help. The woman trying to help the injured woman can be seen jumping out of the way of the car and appeared visibly upset. Emergency services raced to the scene at around 4.10pm. Dozens of officers from Police Scotland, including forensics, were pictured in the area last night as investigations were carried out. Paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service were also on the scene. On social media, one passerby wrote: "Serious amount of police sirens in the area just now. Davidson’s Mains, Silverknowes, Muirhouse, Salvesen." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.10pm on Sunday, 14 April, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving a 63-year-old female pedestrian and a car on Muirhouse Parkway, Edinburgh. “The woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment. William Budge of Edinburgh appeared before Edinburgh Sheriff Court and was charged with permanent disfigurement and attempted murder.
