Re: Woman Cuts Out Twins from Womb of Dead Relative at Gate of Hospital
Who's to say that she was overweight due to overeating? Her weight could be very well down to a medical issue. None of us here have any clue as to what the cost is for medical care there. She couldn't have been expected to have 'x' amount of money just floating around in case of something happening - which could have been thousands of pounds.

Re: Woman Cuts Out Twins from Womb of Dead Relative at Gate of Hospital
Who are you to say say who can get pregnant, or decide if this woman ate a healthy diet? Many poor people become overweight due to eating cheap, processed convenience foods. Some have thyroid problems. Many people who receive help in the U.S. have paid taxes their entire lives, as have their parents, grandparents, etc. It's ignorant to say this woman and these innocent babies were better off dead, or deserved to die due to financial status. The virgin Mary gave birth in a stable!

Re: Woman Cuts Out Twins from Womb of Dead Relative at Gate of Hospital
When someone is that fat, they are much likelier to have complications during childbirth, and dangerously high blood pressure during the pregnancy that risks harm to the child. Women did not evolve natually to give birth to twins at 300+ pounds. I'm not saying being a good, healthy weight + good cardiovascular system means no complications, but it's a lot more rare and the body is more resilient to hardship. Knowing that, why wouldn't they take extra precautions during pregnancy and at least have an emergency fund? I will always disapprove of people being morbidly obese. That is not a disorder but a failure in life. |
