Woman Crossing the Highway Is Struck by Car
Azerbaijan The Azerbaijan Ministry of Internal Affairs' State Traffic Police Department released a video today of a tragic accident on the Mardakan Circle – Buzovna – Zagulba highway. The footage shows a middle-aged woman with bags crossing a multi-lane road in an unauthorized area, close to an overhead pedestrian crossing visible in the background. Seeing an approaching car, the woman did not stop or attempt to let it pass; instead, she suddenly ran forward. The driver slammed on the brakes (evidenced by thick white smoke from the disc brakes) and tried to swerve right but couldn’t avoid the collision. The woman died at the scene from her injuries. |

she didnt even make it half way, still had the median and another road to cross. she overestimated her capabilities, methinks. got hit when there was just one car left to let pass, she just had to wait another few seconds before making the mad dash to the median.
