What the hell did that guy drop that box next to her for and what were people putting in it? Looks like money?
It's some kind of Buddhist ritual I think. It's just well wishes for her soul to go to heaven. It seems quite considerate that someone would actually take the time to do that on the side of the road for some stranger.
