The point is is that boy in the video has been around gunfire before and knew exactly what to do when he hears a firearms report. He gets the hell out of there, thus "trained" for a situation. Blame the father for the kids actions not doc commenting on what he saw in the video.

I do sort of understand. Out with my then 6 year old niece we got chased by a gaggle of geese. Those buggers are big! Without having a second to think we legged it, leaving the 6 year old!!! Felt really guilty after but instinct took over!!! And THAT was only geese!!

My animal encounter went a little differently...

We were living in France at the time + had shitloads of land, which we allowed friends to use for their animals. One field had 4 horses in it.

It was spring 2009 + I took my son (then 6 1/2 years old) down to feed the horses a load of apples. When we got there, they were right at the bottom of the field + we couldn't get their attention.

Stupidly, I decided that we should enter the field to feed them. They soon noticed us + the apples. These big motherfucking horses started charging towards us to get the apples. I grabbed the apples my son had + told him to run as fast as he could to get out of the field.

Thankfully the horses left him alone, but all 4 of the massive beasts came for me! I've never been a competent runner, but I pegged it as fast as I could, eventually tossing the apples aside when I thought I was doomed!

The horses went for the apples + I managed to dive back under the fence, slicing my t-shirt + back to ribbons on the barbed wire fence as I did so.

As soon as I was safe, me + my son burst out crying! We had been so fucking scared.
