Was that a guts / blood / brains spray, or just wood shavings and dust? Lots of big trees like that in my town, the pros here us a cherry picker and/or climb up the tree to remove all of the branches and then cut the remaining trunk in sections.

Yep. Ive got a buddy that does it too. He always climbs up and removes the branches first, then cuts sections of the trunk off as he climbs down. For the larger trees he uses a cherry picker.
This amateur looked like he was cutting the entire tree down at the 8ft height, while still being attached to the trunk. Not surprising though. These 3rd world countries have no training standards or common sense.
