a similar situation happened before my eyes a few months ago. An elderly man fell face down, completely breaking his nose and losing consciousness, there was a huge pool of blood, but I don't think he's dead, luckily people in Italy still tend to lend a hand to those who are unconscious.  Imagine that it was the police who took him to the hospital, because there were no ambulances available, I love my country |

Wonder if he didn't have a heart attack or stroke at the same time his foot hit the manhole. Doesn't look like he even moved after he stumbles. No flailing attempt not to fall down. Just down and gone.
