Re: Wildfire

I live close to this area, remember when this happened. This guy has had some trouble for filming his dead neighbors, caught a lot of flak. Mostly elderly and immobile people living in isolated, one road in/one road out, areas. any one post the DB video yet? A "suspected" murder, high speed chase, police dog vs DB's pitbull, all 3 dead, anyone?
DB??

Re: Wildfire

People were evacuating due to the fires east of San Diego (Valley fire) it was pushing west, really scary.

Re: Wildfire

this video was shot on Edgewood lane in paradise.. I lived at the end of that road about 15 years before the fire. there is only one way out of that road with steep canyons on two sides and a cliff at one end.
at the time of the fire I lived about a mile away and had just dropped my kids off at school and was grabbing a coffee when I noticed something was wrong... as i was driving down my road to go home the sky started to turn dark and I kept hearing loud explosions which turned out to be propane tanks exploding from the heat.. I pulled into my driveway as red hot ash started to rain down everywhere.. I ran inside to wake up my wife and told her to go pick up the kids from school and drive to Chico (the nearest town in the valley) While I would grab our dogs and cats make sure her parents and my Mother were evacuating. the fire moved in so fast i didn’t have time to find my cats, in the 3 minutes it took me to grab my two dog the fire had already reached my neighbors house, I put the dogs in my truck and ran around my house trying frantically to find my cats as fires where popping up all around me, within a few minutes my house was fully engulfed and the fire was on all sides of me. every few seconds a propane tank would explode and the wind was blowing the fire in every direction, I got into my truck and started to drive to my moms house and realized the fire was in every direction... I almost made it to my moms house when i turned a road that was blocked by vehicles which people abandoned in the middle of the road... I turned around only to realize the way back was blocked by abandoned vehicles as well.... thats when my wife called me and told me her and the kids made it out and she had spoken to my mom and she too was already out of paradise. I told my wife I was on my way out of town, but in really i was stuck trying to contemplate if i should ditch my truck and try to make it out of foot, but I knew if i did my dogs would more than likely take off in a panic and would most likely die.. i decided i was going to try to move the cars blocking me in but the heat and the smoke was to much to get out of my truck so i slowly rammed the car behind me ane pushed in back enough to turn facing the car to my left and rammed it slowly and pushed it in off the road and made my way out by driving through yards and ramming down fences... I had to stop and wait for the fire to burn past me afew times and had to change a tire which had melted and burst but after 4 and a half hours i finally made it off the ridge...
