No fucking around...went right for the throat. The story I read said that yes, the guy was mentally ill. He had also been warned off of the enclosure several times, whilst he was throwing rocks at the tiger. Then he either jumped or fell in. And yeah, that the tiger didn't actually attack until people started throwing shit at him. I feel sorry for the poor tiger. What kind of place is this? People are just allowed to throw rocks at you all day. Then you get the chance to actually kill live prey for once, and they take it away from you. Waste all around. |

Wait, see the photo that this guy has blue shorts on, yet in the beginning video he has dark long pants. The picture is blurry and seems maybe the pants were pulled down.  I'd like someone to explain this. |

This is one of those really odd situations that I've always wondered about. The guy that got mauled in this case got what he deserved...so no sympathy there. But this same oddball type of thing happened a few years ago at the San Francisco Zoo. A tiger actually escaped from it's enclosure and attacked a group of kids, killing one, that had been taunting him right before the attack. As a retired copper and someone that religiously carries a concealed handgun, I wonder if you shot the tiger and saved someone from being attacked whether the zoo would sue you or praise you? In the case of this video...I don't think I would have shot the tiger. But if that tiger had escaped and was a clear threat to others...I'm pretty sure I would. I wonder what the world size record is for shooting a tiger with a .357 magnum? I wonder if or how fast that would even work against a pissed off tiger? Oh well just rambling and thinking.  |
