The explosion took place on Wednesday afternoon in the area of ​​the Northern Port of Korsakov on Sakhalin, where workers tried to cut the tank from fuel and lubricants. The incident, as a result of which one welder died, hit the camera's surveillance lens.

Initially, it was reported that the explosion occurred in the port itself, one later it turned out that the location was a nearby base for receiving metal. Its employees, as the cadres testify, planned to cut the tank from the fuel with the help of a welding machine, but as soon as one of them started to work, a powerful cotton came.

The shock wave tore the wall of the tank, and the welder was thrown a few meters away. From the injuries the man died on the spot, his two companions needed medical help.

Investigators are engaged in checking the circumstances of the incident and interviewing witnesses.
