Re: War Video - Apache Takes Out Insurgents
TEST!!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed the delay from the firing of the weapon until you see the rounds make contact, i assume that the apache is a long way off and using high def cameras and the pic we are seeing is at an extreme zoom level, i was talking to a police chopper pilot once and he said that from 2000ft they can see the individual hairs on the police dogs on the ground, now that is a civilian outfit so i can only guess what the military are now using. Sweet video though.

And another thing: I think that this was taken at night, we are seeing an infra red image, those guys on the ground didnt have a clue which way to run and couldnt see the rounds hitting the ground, check out the guy who jumps over the fence, he practically runs into it first, it kind of explains why they didnt go for cover as they probably thought that the darkness was cover enough.

Re: War Video - Apache Takes Out Insurgents
Because SOP and ROE have changed dramatically since the start of this conflict. If the men in that truck were not getting out because they wanted to surrender, the men in the apache could have been charged. On a side note, our last SOP when we were in Iraq is that we would not fire at the enemy unless we "Were taking sustained, accurate enemy fire." Fuck that shit. Next deployment to Afghanistan. =] |
