TBH, I think chrono is the logical order of most BB's. Has anyone ever suggested to Chris to change the default setting in vBulletin to sort chrono? This would seem to eliminate the bumping of old threads, albeit at the expense of not lifting hot threads. But isn't that what stickies are for? Besides, any user who doesn't like chrono could still re-sort...

Anyway, I just thought I'd throw my two cents in. The instruction manual says it's located here:

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum -> Default Sort Field and Default Sort Order

I came here to bump this thread because I had a lapse in memory and might've been a smidge overzealous, but it would be nice to have a means to manage this otherwise.
