In the city of uMhlathuze, KwaZulu-Natal, two bodyguards were shot and killed in the local municipality offices.

Preliminarily, it is reported that the City Manager's bodyguard, Nkosenye Z., walked into the chambers when the mayor's bodyguard ambushed and repeatedly shot him. Whilst attempting to escape the scene, the mayor's bodyguard was shot dead by a colleague of Nkosenye (which isn't shown in the video). Police said the motive remains unclear at this time.
