Villagers Find Missing Man Swallowed Inside Giant Python
Akbar Salubiro, 25, had not been seen since setting off to harvest palm oil in a remote village on the island of west Sulawesi in Indonesia. A search found a potbellied python sprawled out next to his garden. After capturing the snake and when they cut the stomach open they found the missing man, father of two children, inside. Villagers heard cries from the palm grove the night before. Reticulated pythons suffocate their victims before swallowing them whole. |

Can you imagine what must have been going through his mind when the snake first got him and he realised he was being squeezed to death - and perhaps he had some consciousness as he was being swallowed as well and was left thinking 'is this really happening, OMG OMG OMG I'M DYING' x R.I.P x

Re: Villagers Find Missing Man Swallowed Inside Giant Python
Some additional snek info: That's a reticulated python. Island retics are called dwarf/super dwarf and top out at about 6 feet long. Mainland retics like this stunner usually reach about 15-20 feet long. Retics larger than that are rare, but they will occasionally show up. They're not considered a danger to humans, and are very docile snakes, but occasionally, if hungry enough and the opportunity presents itself, they'll kill and eat a human. |

Re: Villagers Find Missing Man Swallowed Inside Giant Python
Interesting video. Can anyone tell if the snake swallowed him feet first or head first? It looked like feet first from the video, but snakes usually swallow their prey head first, so I was just wondering.
