Vigilante and Cabbie That Was Kidnapped Gets Interrogated and Shot in the Head
Brazil, vigilante and app taxi driver using E. J. T. A, 31, was kidnapped by a criminal group this morning. He was blindfolded and tied on a chair and tortured before they put him in his car and shot him in the head. The car was located near a canal, behind a paper factory. The victim showed signs of torture. His arms were tied and his head was covered with a cloth, and he had 3 gunshot wounds. Police officers arrived at the location of the kidnappers/murderers through anonymous reports. In the house, there were a suspect, identified as B, and the owner of the property, a woman identified as P. M, and other people, who managed to escape. During the approach of the police, B. shot at the PM. The PMs reacted and shot the suspect, who was taken to the Hospital. According to information, not yet confirmed by the authorities, the accused did not resist the injuries and died. Police officers search for others involved in the vigilante's execution. |

Vigilante translates to watchman, a security guard. It is not used in the same context as Vigilante in English It is a false cognate. A Vigilante in English would translate to Portuguese as "Vingador anônimo" (An anonymous avenger.) |
