If not for the kidney stab he would be alive still?  But seriously.. he really murdered them. I really don’t understand why the woman was talking to him after him executing the boyfriend and stabbing her as well |

That's not what I'm saying. Based on his size and aggresion he had a chance had he not tripped over her, but once he was down and got stabbed in the kidney his chance of getting up was non-existent.
