Vietnam - Body of Homeless Man in a Wheelchair Who Died in the Street
On 20th August 2021 in Saigon (Vietnam), an elderly man died in the middle of the street. The man + his wife of more than 50 years, were homeless. They had collected a food parcel from the army + the man held it in his hand as his wife wheeled him down the street in his wheelchair. The man, who was in poor health, suddenly died. When his wife realised, she collapsed kneeling next to him, crying. Passersby also could not hold back their tears. The authorities soon arrived. As his wife watched on, they wrapped the man's body up + took it away to be cremated.
