Believe it or not, as angry as I can get in the face of such pernicious ignorance, a part of me still hopes to world reason in order to instill reason in their disturbed psyche, and as much as I would hope to believe that buried somewhere, deep within such a sorry person there can still reside a modicum of repressed humanity—I honestly and regretfully doubt it. Sadly, there families on both sides will suffer because of the careless and unwise decisions made that day. But the family, friends and people who cared about the man who got shot and died will sadly, be most aggrieved. All of this tragedy could have been avoided with an ounce of civility.
