There seems to be no existence of a video of a autopsy of someone who was executed via the electric chair. I wana know what they looked like inside, but cant find any info. Has it really never been done?

Yeah, there's no need for autopsies on executed prisoners. Their death was essentially condoned by the government and witnessed by officials and a doctor. Although, for some reason, Ted Bundy got one (they dissected his brain to analyze why he murdered). Obviously there's been autopsies of other victims of electrocution but I'll be damned if I can find a thread where they are opened up. No video but lots of morgue photos. Anyway, Ted Bundy was executed by electric chair. Here's his morgue photos, but images of his actual autopsy have never leaked...

Yeah Ted's the closest I have found, I would have expected autopsies on executed prisoners would have been opened up to research the execution methods effect on the bodies. surely.  |

I have a friend in Florida who works in law enforcement. She indicated that FL does perform autopsies on all custodial deaths by law, including executions. But use of the electric chair was replaced by lethal injection in 1999-2000 period. She said it's been 25 years since she's seen any open autopsy photos of a prisoner who "rode-the-lightning." That was Allen Lee Davis, and no she doesn't have any copies, sorry.

Damn, those pics are wild. Thanks for enquiring. I bet it would be hella interesting, possibly seeing burned spinal chords and brain charring. the Wiki said "The second, less powerful electric shock (500–1,500 volts)[38] is intended to cause lethal damage to the vital organs." That got me thinking what lethal damage would look like. Guess we will never know. |
