Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
Nowhere in my post did I argue that cops shouldn't use lethal force. I'm saying there's been cases in the past where cops have been sued for using less than lethal force by perps with lawyers who argue that if they had to get it on, they should have gone all out, or not used force at all. If you read carefully, I'm actually AGREENING with you that if a cop forced to use a gun, it should be used in a lethal way, even if my reasoning for it is not the same as yours.

White man gets shot by police This website: both parties handled this wrong. Americans have a right to bare arms. If that was me, I wouldn't told them to fuck off, it's my right to open carry in Texas. Black man gets shot by police. This website: stupid dumbass fuck should've just put the gun down. It's simple, listen to the cops, don't get shot. |

Turn off the TV! You don't know how anyone responds to that stuff. Some might have been bothered about and some may have been jokes about it. Where did you get the idea that they were greatly affected by this?

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
California’s laws do not have any difference between any type of gun. Texas’s laws require hand guns to be in a holster and long guns (rifles or shotguns) “to be held in a manor not to cause alarm” Meaning pointed towards the sky or ground with finger away from the trigger. Because the laws are different in different states, the police should approach things in different ways. In texas, they just need to address the situation to make sure it’s safe “hey, got a call, some nervous nelly was worried, just want to make sure you know to keep it on your shoulder and not scare people... okay now...” In california, he is already breaking the law. He knows he is breaking the law and is already a criminal. GET THE GUN AWAY FROM THE CRIMINAL. “DROP THE FUCKING GUN!!’ DROP IT NOW OR I WILL DROP YOU!!!” |

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
This has nothing to do with race. This situation was a criminal with a gun who pointed it at a police officer. If he was white, black, yellow or purple it doesn’t change the facts. And this happened in california, not in texas. Yet if he pointed the gun at officers in texas, I would expect him to be dropped anyway. |
