Many other solutions out there to prevent this kinda unnecessary bullshit. Talking with him he said its a BB, can't a costume wearing scumbag holster his real weapon and approach the lad more civil saying can I inspect it to make sure? Easy peasy no one has to die. Just educate the lad on not to walk around with a gun on show making people scared or get himself killed by these fictious entities that have given themselves permission to kill other humans, but more importantly brainwash others and pay them to do it. Evil in plain sight. Dumb fucking sheep. |

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
This is what I hear from so many non-shooters. It’s so damn frustrating! Shooting something is not like laser tag it’s not like the movies. It’s not easy, and even highly trained shooters are not Annie Oakley. You have movement (of yourself and your target), you have your eyes not only on the target but everyone around you, your adrenaline is pumping, your breathing is hard, and you are trying to anticipate the movements of the person who might just kill you. Shit it real man. You want to know how it is? Crank your TV to full blast, turn your radio up, get into a fight with your girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse, slam a redbull, then run around the outside of your house 3 times, then run back in with your tv/radio/significant other at full blast, and pick up a laser pointer and try to point it still. Your hand will sway or shake, it will move easily around while you are trying to keep it still at least 5-10 degrees. A leg is 6” wide. At 20 feet, a 5 degree variance (which is pretty damn small in the real world) is 20”. Which means you are more than 200% greater chance of missing vs hitting. Do you want to place your life, or your partner lives on those odds? You are trained to shoot center mass because a chest is wider than 20”. You aim for the center of the chest and hope that if you miss the heart, that it does enough damage to the lungs or diaphragm or major blood vessels to drop the fucker. If the police were to not shoot for any gun with a colored tip, every criminal would paint the tip of their glock or armalite orange. If your life (or your wife/husband/child’s) was on the line, and someone pointed an orange tipped gun at you/them. Don’t hesitate and pull the fucking trigger! The police resisted putting him down till the gun was pointed at one of them. If I were in the officer’s position, I would have done the same thing. Then I would weep like a little bitch and be in therapy for the rest of my life for killing someone. |

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
Now, I want to add to this... If this happened in Texas, Arizona, or any other state than the People’s Republic of California, I would say that the officers approached this in the wrong way. If I was walking down the street in Texas with a shotgun over my shoulder (which is perfectly legal as open carry of a gun in texas is allowed), and a cop yelled at me From a distance to drop the gun, I would yell back to fuck off, and if he want’s to talk, to come on up, I’ll keep my hand away the trigger and barrel pointed to the sky. However it is illegal to carry a gun in Public in California. As such the guy was already breaking the law and was a criminal. The cops had every right to yell at him to drop the gun. |

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
I live about 20 minutes from this area and haven't seen this cause too much of an uproar. It's not about what you know, its about what others think they know that this youngster misunderstood. Lost his life when all he would have had to do to stay alive would have been to drop the gun and take a few steps away from the toy. This is an area where A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE GUNS, not just one many guns in each household. So these cops are justified in there fears. It's any given day out here in the foothills and towards the mountains! |

Re: Vid.of Offcr-involved Shot of Man Hoisting an Airsoft Rifle in Grass Valley, CA
no. no. no. you pull a firearm you use lethal force. if you can aim for a leg than you had other options for non-lethal. if a firearm is used it is used to kill. take that from someone with 15 years of training and been in multiple life threating situations. i do this for a living. if a firearm is used, no warning shots, no aiming for the leg, no. you pull a firearm to protect your life, not to maim. Ever train with firearms in a tactical capacity????
