If you have to bail while on motorcycle, would you rather jump off onto pavement or grass median/shoulder? Exactly...so why is the biker in the middle of the road? Van is clearly at fault , but the biker is as equally as poor a defensive driver.

Why do you think that? I checked the footage many times and I can't really see where the moto-guy was(that's also why there is a double yellow line there. Drivers also cant see oncoming traffic until its too late) . It looks like the impact takes place on the yellow line. You also can't blame the moto guy, even if he was in the wrong lane, because from his point of view, there was a mad fucker in his lane...and he may have made a rush decision to jump into the oncoming lane to avoid a crash. |
