Re: Van Hits Couple on Motorcycle Head on Killing Them Both
Unrelated, but an employee for the San Antonio airport jumped in to an engine this past Friday evening (6/23). Was wondering if anyone had security camera footage or knows someone that does or can get access to it. I was there when it happened and I never heard anything about it until after I was gone.

Re: Van Hits Couple on Motorcycle Head on Killing Them Both
Van was passing against the solid yellow line and going up a hill. The van driver should be charged with double murder. I've had bikes and most people don't give a shit about bikes. I've been nearly killed twice by dumbass motherfuckers who weren't paying attention. And that was before cell phones. I'll never own a bike again because people don't pay any attention to driving anymore. |

Re: Van Hits Couple on Motorcycle Head on Killing Them Both
The van has a few fault: 1) He overtaking at a uphill road where he can't see the oncoming vehicles 2) After he overtake and if he saw the motorbike and knowing that the motorbike was going to his right, he should kept on the left lane. 3) After he overtake, he didn't look at the front but only looking at the right rear mirror caring about the distant between his van and the car he overtake so that he can stir back to the right "safely" without knowing that there's a motorbike right in front of him. For the motorbike rider, its a human common behaviour/reaction trying to avoid on coming vehicle by stirring to the side where it wider. It happened to me before when I was riding my bicycle at the park. From a distance I notice a woman was walking 2/3 on the right side of the path. I alert her by ringing my bicycle bell. Since she was more to the right, I try to cycle pass her on her left but she without looking back at where I came from instead moving 1/3 distant to right (shorter side), she move 2/3 distant to her left (wider side). I almost hit her. |
